Building Schools That Work — For Every Student, Every Staff Member, Every Community

Our Services

For over 20 years, OEPA has helped urban schools solve the problems that generic consulting can't touch — school safety, reading proficiency, community trust, and equity that goes deeper than a training day. Our team of [20+] educators has sat in the seats you're in: principal's office, classroom, district office. We don't hand you a binder and leave. We build the plan with you, and we stay until it's working.

Creating Successful Urban Schools
The Collaborative Approach

Turning around a school isn't about one new program — it's about who's in the room, how decisions get made, and whether people trust the process enough to commit to it. We work alongside school leadership to build the structures that make lasting change possible.

What we do:

  • Build high-functioning teams that make decisions and follow through

  • Develop building-level action plans grounded in real data, not templates

  • Strengthen collective efficacy to drive measurable academic performance gains

Professional Development

Your Needs Assessment

Good professional development starts with an honest look at your data — not a generic training calendar. We help staff read their own numbers clearly, then build the skills to act on what they find.

What we do:

  • Principal coaching, one-on-one and cohort-based

  • Building high-functioning teams across grade levels and departments

  • Capacity building that transfers ownership to your staff, not just to us

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Equity is Everything

Equity work that doesn't start with the heart and mind doesn't last. We help staff build genuine cultural competency and self-awareness — the foundation everything else sits on.

What we do:

  • Cultural competency training for staff at every level

  • Individual educational equity coursework

  • Guided self-awareness work that changes how staff show up for students
